Ben and Kylie moved their family here from Tauranga in June 2019.
They have a love for all things outdoors – Biking, Hiking and the Snow.
For their honeymoon their idea of fun was walking the Kepler Track in the South Island… in 2 days! (Usually a 3/4day hike)

We are adding a new lease of life to the lodge - completing a lot of the work ourselves where and when we can. Our goal is to watch the lodge grow and thrive, and for guests to continue to enjoy all that Ruapehu has to offer.

We live in the Managers House near the lodge. If you need anything during your stay we are around to help

The Queen Organizer of the team. You will find Kylie behind the emails, marketing, managing the calendar and accounts.
All while making sure everyone else is doing what they need to, including the kids.

She enjoy's being in the kitchen and entertaining for friends, teaching herself new skills, yoga and bush walks.
​
Her background includes working in a range industries:TV/Film Post Production, Education, Hospitality, Bookkeeping and Accounts
BEN
Ben is the one being kept busy with maintenance, injecting new love into the lodge and always trying to sneak away for some adventurous fun!
​
Ben's passions including Mountain Biking, Trail Running and Crossfit. He is gaining valuable knowledge of the local area to share onto our visitors
​
He's been a hammer hand, sold real estate, worked in a backpackers overseas, done a winter season up on the mountain and has an extensive horticulture background.
​
He is also a Rugby nut. Go All Blacks!
